Why use a smoke leak detector?
60% of engine fault codes are related to piping
When the sensor values detected by the vehicle exceed the standard range, the ECU will store the corresponding fault code and automatically trigger the engine fault light. Among all possible standard OBDII fault codes that can be generated/triggered, more than 60%
of the fault codes are pressure-related, whether it is air pressure or oil pressure. In other words, if the vehicle has a fault, there is over a 60% chance that the repair technician will need to check various pressure issues. Most pressure issues are caused by a leak somewhere.

How to judge leakage- through the pressure gauge?


NO Leak: When the value of the pressure gauge remains unchanged and the flow meter will read zero (ball at bottom of scale), it means that there is no leakage in the system.


Small Leak: When the value of the pressure gauge drops and the ball in the flow meter slowly fall to the bottom of the scale, it indicates a small leak in the system.


Massive Leak: When the value of the pressure gauge reaches zero and the flow meter ball never falls to the bottom of the scale, it indicates a large leak in the system.



How to use the ANCEL S300?
1.Disassemble the front end of the engine intake. Depending on the vehicle model, select the appropriate smoke injection method. In most cases, smoke is injected through the front end intake hose of the engine.


2.Start the smoke leak detector to generate smoke. When the smoke becomes dense, inject it into the system to be tested and wait for 2 minutes.


3.Use a repair lamp or flashlight to inspect the pipes along the direction of the tested air and oil lines for leaks.
